Elect Jamie Handley for Decatur City Council District 4

Bring Honesty, Integrity, Common Sense, and Transparency BACK to City Hall!

For a VERY long time, things have not been headed in the right direction in Decatur, and it's time for a LONG OVERDUE change!

Social unrest, a total lack of leadership, and improper priorities by current city leadership have led to everything from our streets being in disrepair to Decatur lagging behind our neighbors (Huntsville, Madison, and Athens) in terms of growth and taking care of our citizen's needs.

I was born and raised in Decatur and I have spent the majority of my life here. I attended Austinville Elementary School, Brookhaven Middle School, and graduated from Austin High School in 1985. I earned my Bachelor's (BSE) and Master's (MSE) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from UAH in 1990 and 1995.

I returned to Decatur in 2019 after spending 25 years in Madison and Limestone Counties to care for my aging mother. When I returned, I could see first-hand that Decatur is no longer the same town I grew up in. Where have all the leaders with honesty and integrity gone? I want to return these principles to City Hall, along with common sense and transparency, and be a helping hand to the community as well as a listening ear that is always available.

I hope you will help me make this vision a reality and vote for me on August 26 for Decatur City Council District 4.
